Office Manager/Director PA - Elmarie
My name is Elmarie Els, and I am the Office Administrator at Discovery 1. I am married to Chris, a year 8 teacher at Tai Tapu school and have two children, Shani who is currently studying Journalism at Victoria University in Wellington and Adrian who is in year 10 at St Thomas's of Canterbury.
We are originally from South Africa, but have been living in Southbridge, a small rural village for the past 10 years.
I have a background in Clothing design, Pre-school and Library management, but when the opportunity at Discovery 1 came up, I was very eager to take up the challenge and be part of this unique environment. I enjoy the daily interaction with parents and students in the office (which sometimes is a very busy place). I look forward to meeting you on your first visit to our school.
