Board Update

Board Update

Firstly, congratulations on a fantastic Matariki celebration last Friday evening. My family had a blast making poi, lanterns, flax stars and much more. A great chance to reflect on the year gone past and look forward to the year ahead. The Board are definitely doing plenty of that right now with some major  focuses for next term. Here's a brief overview...

  •  New Director's Appointment: The application packs are being requested and sent out, with lots of interest to date. A reminder that our community day is on Saturday, July 28th where everyone can meet the applicants and be part of the process. Watch out for more info on this soon.
  •  Property update: The Board are meeting with the MoE and UPT on July 5th for an update on initial scenarios for our future location. Watch this space!
  •  Board By-election: Due to Vince's resignation last month, we need to vote in another parent rep and will be looking for nominations very soon.  More info on this will be available very soon.
  •  ERO visit: We have received confirmation that ERO will be visiting in week 7 of next term to review our school's capability and sustainability. We are looking forward to this as an opportunity to reflect on our growth since our ERO last visited in 2009.

Enjoy your last few days of term and rest up over the holidays.

Take care and stay warm.

Regards

Karen Wylaars, BoT Chair
