Hi, I have been involved in the teaching profession since 1987, when as a nervous young fellow I rocked on up to Teachers College. It was scary how horrible the place was, although it did start to form my ideas about how I didn't want to educate.

Since then I have taught at 4 different primary schools around Christchurch before arriving at Discovery at the beginning of 2001.

It has been a wonderful roller coaster of a ride, although watching the children arrive each day with a smile and a real sense of energy has made up for any of the downward slopes.

The staff here are amazing and a real credit to the teaching profession.

I have a wonderful supportive wife and 3 highly energetic children, I enjoy music and now watching sport as the old knees don't stand up to much anymore.
